Raw Cacao Banana Bread

Banana bread is such a versatile recipe, this time I've added some cacao powder for that extra chocolaty flavour. I love preparing loafs in the weekends, that way, I don't have to resort to gluten free bread for breakfast or a snack, I can just have a slice of this goodness. You can also slice it up and toast it.

1 cup gluten free flour
1/2 cup gluten free oats
3 tbsp cacao powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup maple syrup
⅓ cup coconut oil
2 ripe bananas
handful of pecans

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius, and wipe a silicone loaf pan with some coconut oil.
Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk.
Place the bananas in a separate bowl, mash them with a fork, and then add the coconut oil and maple syrup.
Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir well, until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared thin and bake for around 45mins, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Let cook completely in the pan before removing for slicing

Top with peanut butter for the ultimate indulgence!
